Shaping the Future

The general public is tired of cycling because it’s so serious. These days, the rhetoric is so scientific—everyone is talking about how much weight someone lost or how much power the last guy used up the mountain. There aren’t “normal” people reading cycling articles because it’s a language that only resonates with a small group of people. TJ wants to change that. “I’m never going to be your cut out cyclist. You can hate me or love me for this. I love me for this, never going to conform to the average society. This is how we all need to be, To not fear who we really are and let all our light shine to the world! Be proud of who you are and love yourself!”

TJ Eisenhart, is one of the premier pro cyclists from the USA.  Born and raised in Lehi, UT, he received his first road bike at age 11 and began competing in local races. He competed in his first USA National championship at age 12, bring home a silver medal in the Time Trial. He began racing in Europe for the USA national team at the age of 16. At age 18 he signed his first professional contract with BMC Devo Team where he raced extensively all over Europe. During this time he won the USA TT National Championship and represented the USA in two World Championships. I have been blessed with opportunities to race for some of the best teams. I have made friendships with fellow riders and fans from all over the world, and I felt my life changed and charged by incredible experiences. I was reminded of what’s really important: cycling should be fun.”

“More than anything I learned riding your bike isn’t just a job but must bring you joy, happiness and love. I learned you need to have balance in your life, for me that’s my art.”  Before TJ ever started riding a bike he began his love for art. With paintings in private collections around the world, he has journeyed through various mediums and loves experimenting in colors and style. His art is ever changing, expressing his love of life and personality.

“Life is way to short to say I wish I would have given a little more effort! Go out do your best give everything you got. Be authentic and be true to who you are!”

Giving Back

Legend has it that the Native American Indians danced and rejoiced when the rains came. Their tears of joy mixed with the rain and seeped into Mother Earth to become Sky Stone Turquoise. To the Native Americans, turquoise is life. There are stones medicine men keep in their sacred bundles because they possess powers of healing. Stones and crystals have unique attributes that support and heal us. Turquoise, especially, is known for its positive healing energy, and aid in mental functions, communications and expression and as a protector. If you’re wearing a turquoise ring and you look down and see a crack in your stone, the Native Americans would say “the stone took it”, meaning the stone took the blow that you would have received.

The Native Americans say that every crack in the turquoise represents negative energy being pushed away. And that is how turquoise began to represent positivity for me. Others started noticing the turquoise and asking about it, so I began handing out turquoise bracelets, and somehow it became a “thing.” For me, it’s all about spreading good vibes. I find a lot of peace and happiness in the turquoise, so I want to share that with others.
